This Week in Let’s Play: Persona 5

Welcome to This Week in Let’s Play, your handy guide to what’s been going on in the world of LP. This week, we’re taking a look at Persona 5 and the reception it’s been receiving from both its adoring fans, and its sceptics.

It’s been just over a month since Atlus’ latest edition of the Persona series was released, and in that time there’s been a lot of talk about it. Marking the series’ 20th anniversary, Persona 5 has been well-received by critics and has been lauded by some as being one of the best role-playing games of all time.

But it hasn’t all been smooth-sailing. Shortly before release, Atlus decided that in order to avoid spoilers for the game it would attempt to ban players from streaming it – but to no effect. Streamers and LPers alike threw caution to the wind and recorded their game footage anyway, resulting in Atlus revising its streaming ban – but not getting rid of it completely.

Since then, there’s been a massive amount of Persona 5 content everywhere – and here’s a quick look at some of the best.
